Hello,

I just bought two 1980's Proof Sets and unlike the 1979 Proof Set they do not have a built in display stand. Where can I get display stands for the 1980's and current Proof Sets that don't have them built in?

Thanks,
Rich

I know what he is talking about.

My 1980 to 1982 proof sets have (had, since they have long been cracked out and moved to albums) a plastic "sleeve" that the case slipped into. You could use that sleeve as a stand by inserting it into a different position. I think his problem is that the sleeve was misplaced and not included with the set he purchased.

The 1973 (first year that included the Eisenhower dollar) to 1979 sets had a piece that was attached to the plastic holder and flipped around to make a stand. Unlike the 1980~1982 sets, it would be less likely that this piece would be misplaced or separated from the set.

The 1983~ sets reverted to the 1968~1972 style and no mint issued "stand" was included.

Hello,

I found what I was looking for but I'm unsure about ordering from online.

Could someone look at these links and tell me what you think? The medium (2" X 2 1/8" X 2 1/8") mini easel is what I need.

I have ordered from JP's without problem & think airtite makes a good product. I have only used the airtite coin containers though, & don't know anything about the easels or the size you need.
