I think this is the correct forum for this question. if not, I'm sure one of the admins will flog me. I need to sell my collection and have about 120 LWC rolls from the teens through the 70's. some are full rolls, some partial rolls and some are BU. is there a better way to sell these? are there other LWC roll collectors out there? is it better to bundle them into smaller groups or sell all of them together?

Paul, if you want to chat again we can. Generically the BU rolls sell individually. The earlier rolls are a function of condition.

Interesting thing about commercially-wrapped cent rolls. For many years I held on to commercially-wrapped 'BU' rolls (like from Loomis) obtained from sealed boxes. Enders would show BU 2008D, 2011D etc.--either roll end showing pristine BU cents of the same year and mint. Assumption was, the rolls were were 100%/solid date/mint/BU. After gathering too many of these I decided to break a few open. Curiously, they weren't always 100%. For example, some would have 46-48 BU cents (same year and mint), with the remaining cents being circulated from other years. This taught me to NEVER assume that commercially-wrapped rolls from Loomis or other similar services--having BU enders--are ALWAYs 100%/solid date/mint/BU.

Sounds like you have LMCs in that batch too. You would find many takers for LWCs from the 1960s and 1970s. The wheat cents can bring a premium over copper melt value, the memorials not so much.

You'll find buyers for all your rolls right here in the CCF (Selling section). I think you'll find top dollar and good, honest people here to deal with. Good luck to you!
