where there two varieties of "D" punches in 1995? I have one that is different from all the other D's from 85-07? it looks more like the mintmark punch from the late 70's to early 80's.

They stopped punching mintmarks into the dies in around 1990 and made them a part of the initial design. Since they were no longer punched into the dies they should be the same on any 1995 D five cent coin.

You have to take die wear into consideration as that can change the appearance of a mintmark but they are the same.
