I just added two more pages to my site
"Introduction to Roman coins of the First Tetrarchy":
http://augustuscoins.com/ed/tetrarchy/
which I announced here recently. That page is a place to begin if you want to learn about coinage during the reign of Diocletian and his co-rulers.

The new pages are:
a page about all the follis types of the First Tetrarchy
http://augustuscoins.com/ed/tetrarc...istypes.html

and page about SACRA MONETA folles:
http://augustuscoins.com/ed/tetrarc...AMONETA.html
(which is the second most common type).

There were already several pages devoted to the GENIO POPVLI ROMANI type, which is by far the most common type:

Maximian, 286-305
"SACRA MONETA" type
with Moneta standing left, holding balance and cornucopia.
28-26 mm. 9.91 grams.
IMP MAXIMIANVS PF AVG
SACRA MONETA AVGG ET CAESS NOSTR
AQS
RIC Aquileia 29b "c. 300"

The tetrarchy had four rulers at once, making for interesting politics and coinage. Take a look at the main page: http://augustuscoins.com/ed/tetrarchy/ and see if you get interested!

The Tetrarchy is an often overlooked period of imperial coinage

I generally collect only the western mints London Trier Lyon Carthage Rome and Ticinum

Diocletian
More-About-The-First-Tetrarchy,-284-305
Maximianus
More-About-The-First-Tetrarchy,-284-305

These two are my favorites and deserve close ups

Maximianus
24-6mm 11.65 grams
Mint mark reads either Retrograde P or Q followed by T
Ticinum ?

Diocletian
28-30mm 12.75 grams
The mint mark reads P T
Again .... Ticinum ?
but the portrait virtually screams London !
(actually both portraits scream London ......)
The diameter is large and the weight is a bit heavy
To all appearances it is made of copper
My personal theory is that it is an overstrike on a first century copper As
