Hi. Its been a while since I have visited. Been workin alot and not much access to internet. I was wondering if anyone knows of any good sites to look up rarity and pop numbers on pattern coins. This is an area I have been becoming more interested in. Thanks for any info. Comments on how people feel about these coins would also be appreciated.

Try https://www.coinfacts.com. They are great. One of my favorite is the 1916 Pollock 2055 pattern found on coinfacts.

Thanks. That is a really nice site. How can someone tell how many was minted. I would imagine all pattern coins are rare because they were only minted as a trial. Some has to be more desireable and rarer than others. Is there a price guide to go by or just pay whatever it takes to get the coin ya really want.

I am in no way a pattern guy, maybe someone who is can explain. I imagine there is a market and price guide for these pieces, as I often see these for sale at shows. I would think many are quite scarce.
