I'd say AU-55. Bit dark for me.

some 21(P)'s are a little weak in strike. this one is AVG. so it doesn't effect grade. the dark toning may have come from improper storage over the years. there appears to be a pretty scratch in the hair next to LIBERTY running from the top of the hair all the way down to the eye. it looks severe enough to apply a details designation to the coin. the eye appeal is on the lower end due to the dark toning.

i'll net this to AU50 maybe 53 details. it doesn't really matter much as the change in value is minimal.

AU-DETAILS for me because of the scratch in Liberty's hair down to the rear of the eye.

First,

I agree with AU-55. The toning is dark. To me, the scratches don't seem enough to detail this coin, but I think there would be a price adjustment to adjust for eye appeal.
