So the half dollar has what looks like a strike thru on a piece of wire. Anyone think this adds value to the set or just bad luck for me because of bad QA at the mint?

Pretty minor. Not sure if that would be a plus, or a minus for the coin? Is this a West Point proof? I just had to look up to see what they call this proof process:

Too small for a premium,in fact might reduce the set value.

This small flaw would only lessen the value of the set, I agree.

But the image I posted above shows how the proofs now can be different. The fields frosted, the devices clear. That was the point. Just opposite as it has been all these years.
