Hey guys/gals, Could use some expertise here. Is this what I think it might be (1960-P SD/LD)? Found it tonight CRH $5 in pennies. PCGS price guide is showing MS64 as the highest grade. Thanks for the help! Edited by Dr Seuss 02/14/2020 11:43 pm

@Greasy Fingers Thank you for your epertise. Under my scope it looks to be small date over large date. Do you see what I see? If not I can post another pic

Quote: The 1960P LD over SD is a proof coin John1, I don't mean to question your expertise, but "The Authoritative Reference On Lincoln Cents (2nd ed) says two are know in proof, but it implies more large over small exist in business strike. This wouldn't be the first time I've found inconsistencies with this reference book. I realise large over small were found in proof sets, but not in business strikes?

I checked the three reference sites and did not see any business strikes mentioned, and the pics the op posted doesn't look like a SD/LD to me. I can only go with the info I can find,so if I missed it sorry all. John1

@John1 coppercoins.com is where I was able to locate the small date over large on business strike coins for 1960. However, upon further investigation, I believe you guys are correct and it's not an error coin.

What attribution number? The only ones there are proof coins. John1

I totally agree, THIS posted coin is a large date only, no small date involved at all. My question was, do business strike 1960 large over small exist at all? Searching on ebay there were 1960-D large over small business strikes, but the 1960-P question remains. It's looking like they are Proof only as John1 said. The Authoritative Reference On Lincoln Cents (2nd ed), p. 30, shows b&w examples, but says nothing about whether they are proof only or not. The mystery continues!
