Can someone show me some examples of a large and small date on a 1970s Lincoln Cent?
Thanks

The large date variety has the 7 falling just below the 9 and 0. The small date variety has the 7 in line with the top of the 9 and 0. Don't have any pics.

Thats where I went when I checked out all the '70s's I found in circulation. None of mine where small dates by the way.

Here's one more link on telling the two apart.
I've found a few of these, and think it's easiest to tell by the shape of the 97 in the date, versus LIBERTY or the top line of the dates. Everyone finds a method that works best for them.
