Sublime Okay, in order: 1) 1973 Lincoln Cent: possibly mercury plated, or whatever plated. Post mint. 2) 1943 Copper-- post mint, plated. (try a magnet.) 3)1924 with ring, yes, post mint from (possibly) a keychain. 4)1956 just a wheatie, nothing special. 5)1919 D nice piece 6) 1943-- post mint stamp/marking. 7) nice collection 8) 1955 S very nice unc! A nice start to a collection.

Those were just the interesting ones. I know they are not valuable. I still have to sort all the 2X2's, but I got more to put in them. It sure was fun though.

An interesting variety you have there! To me, the 1956 looks abrasively cleaned, like with a pencil eraser.

It's real shiny, but a smooth shiny. It just struck me as odd.

It might have been buffed, but I still think it was deliberately cleaned. From the photo, it looks like the ones I had attacked with a pencil eraser. Yes, I said attacked! Poor defenseless Lincoln Cent did not deserve such treatment, but I did so in the name of science!

Nice pics and finds but those rubber bands ... uh oh ... I've had the experience of dark stripes appearing across the coins on the end of the bundles from the sulpher in the rubber bands a long ways back. ( even through the cello it can happen ) I'd love to have a copper plated 1943 like that! Just for funzees.

On my way to remove the rubber bands. When the other coins get put in 2X2's, they are going in an album. Thanks for the tip!

Cool finds, the 1919S is really good for roll searching.

Those all came from 50 lbs. of wheat cents. Roll searching starts next week when I'm done with the wheats.
