i suspect the nickle I received as change from a soda machine is more than likely a Dryer Coin. But Just in case its something different please enlighten me. Thanks in advance for your expertise and time.

Another possibility is a rock tumbler.Due to the missing lettering,I'm leaning that way.

Dryer coin. The weight will be normal. The edges are flattened inwards from the commercial drums falling distance.

Looks like the coin went on a long ride.

Rock tumble might abrade away the lettering but it won't push the rim in into the lettering.
