Great coin. I'd be at VF-20 for this one.

Thanks folks. I almost hate to admit it but I only gave $70 for it. Everything checks out just right (weight, diameter, looks, etc.) The auction was mostly bullion type stuff so not a lot of interest in collector grade coins. I am pretty sure it came out of a type set. Usually I end up over paying at auctions because I "want" something. This may have been one of the better deals I have gotten. I am very pleased with the purchase. I actually had a Bust Quarter Dansco album that was sitting empty. Not its not and I really like the look of these coins. The capped bust series seems doable in lower grades (G-F) so I may need to add those to my shopping list.

That was a steal. I have a set in a Dansco minus the 1796 and 1804.

VF-20 Yes that was a very good deal for you. The larger size Capped Bust quarters are harder to find then the smaller ones of the series.

I'd say VF-20 as well. Very attractive.

Nice pickup. I had no idea they even put out sets of these early quarters. Blue book value for a F-12 specimen is $175 VF-20 is $325
