Pretty looking coin with a reasonably strong tapered planchet.

Found this one about 10 coins later, and also 195X so throwing it up here as another example. It has less eye appeal but also less metal.

Another nice example! Whenever I find tapered planchets (almost never), the weight reduction is not significant like your finds are. Do You find these in bags or rolls?

Bags or rolls? Hard to say since most of my stuff comes in every possible fashion. Zip locks, peanut butter jars, rolls, tubes, albums (and that was just today, honestly!). Everything. These two came out of a coin tube of circulated wheat cents.

It can be a bit overwhelming at times. This is most, but not all, of what I got in today. Albums and a couple other things were off to the side.

Wow! Just from today? I would probably get a haul like that over a couple years. Hope you find some good stuff!

Oh they're in there alright, just going to take some fishing to catch them. After three rolls of the 1970-S I'm up to a DDO-002, DDO-015, and four DDO-005 (FS-103) in MS-65 or 66. Quite enjoyable but I must admit it is distracting from some other things I probably ought to be doing...

Just a thought, but I think your addicted to buying/searching cents... and that's a good thing
But it's always a pleasure to view your finds...

I think that 37D roll is going to be a good one

Well the bats are all sleeping so I've got until May 15 to get through everything. Good way to spend the winter months.
