My dad has always collected coins and other things I have been doing it also but only for fun, not necessarily for selling them. I have found this Dime where you can see its damage and also see how on top of the bubbly is the finished word Liberty. was just curious if this wonderful community could give me your opinion on it. Your dime is suffering from heat damage which caused the Nickle cladding to swell.

Seeing the metal distortion (wrinkling) on the rest of the coin, makes me think it was caused from heat:

When the bubbles are flattened (to fit into a vending machine) this flattens and distorts the coin normal design.
