A friend found this in the Cariboo region of B.C. Any one know what type of coin this is? Thanks to all in advance.

That looks to be a Chilean two reales from the mid 19th century.

I believe the bottom picture is KM#100.2 Chile 2 Reals

Sure didn't take you guys long to nail this one down. She also found a US 1858 dime while detecting. I'm assuming that these where from gold miners in the 1860's to 1900 who where working the gold fields in British Columbia. She be both surprised & pleased.

With some rudimentary "trench art" of... a volcano spewing it's hot lava?

Mining area finds are interesting and expectedly diverse. I've noticed, for example, a decent amount of French coins reported to be found in former California mining areas.
