Another proof coin. What's the grade? The flat background seems hazy to me but I know zilch about grading. ebay sales range from $35-$81.

The haziness is due to the patina, which it is slowly acquiring, and thus the high mirror finished fields will gradually loose the mirror appearance.

Patina does not affect the grading, but it could? may? lower the value. Beauty is subjective, and is in the eye of the beholder.

grade: Proof nFDC**, (British grading)

** = Fleur De Coin (French)

I don't follow " Proof nFDC". So you're saying it would get graded as if it wasn't hazy?

"n" = nearly.
"FDC" Fleur De Coin** = a perfect coin, as struck, immediately after it was ejected from the dies - a British grading term, applies to proof coins only.

**Technical translation: Fower of the Coin. (French).

Other than the cloudiness, I don't see any marks. PF-69 would be my guess but eye appeal knock it back a grade.
