I have come across this and have thrown them in the garbage and recently saw someone post a blank planchet. This one has a few visual areas so it may have just been flattened somehow. I cannot tell. This is the last one I will bother you with tonight. HaHa. Thanks so much.
1. If the diameter is normal sized and the weight it way under, I would think it was a normal cent, that was exposed to acid. 2. If larger than a cent and low in weight (3.11 grams) then it was acid reduced and flattened. 3. If the weight is correct, and is wider then the coin was flatten perhaps on an anvil.
But this in not a mint error. It was altered in a garage. PSD
