Good morning all.
I found this coin roll hunting and I'm new to the game.
Any insight would be appreciated.

Thank you.

When posting pictures, also always include a full picture of both sides of the coin along with your closeup.
Doubt if it counterfeit but there is no way of telling from a partial picture.

Probably spent some time in people's pockets wearing the details down. Spender.

After seeing the whole coin, it looks like the detail has been removed, probably intentionally for some reason.
In any case it would be PMD, not an error.

Thanks Coop. I put it under the scope and saw the scratches as well as an area on the front mound top left where you can still see the original height. And then a sanding down from there.
ODD, that somebody would go to great lengths of detail to achieve this as nothing on the rim is sanded and it is only on the mounds and tree work behind.
I too thought a grease trap at first and that's what prompted the pics.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR KEEN EYE(s) to both of you

Often it is a case being in the garage, the coins were in the pocket. One thing leads to another. And a coin gets damaged. What to do with it? Spend it. The coin murderer wants to get his money back.
