I have an example that shows doubling on motto only and a little more pronounced than your coin. From what I understand there is an actual DDO for the 1968 D (anyone know?) but also many master die doubling examples. Have not been able to nail my example down but lean towards master die doubling after seeing your coin and reading coops comment. Those master doubled dies in fresh die state sure grab your eye before they turn into thin stick doubling. That 1972 and 72D have so many master die doubling examples makes my head spin. I don't run into many 1968 D's with master die doubling and when I do its cool.
