Hello,
What kind of storage is available for commemorative coins? I have not been able to find anything specific.
Thanks, Rich

You have to be more specific about what you are talking about. Are you referring to storing them in the blue boxes they come in, storing them in the airtites(two sided round plastic case), or storing loose coins

Hello,
OK, sorry about that. Commemorative Coins come in their own little boxes (usually.) As my collection grows I'm going to need a place to store all of my Commemorative Coin boxes containing the coins themselves. I have not seen anything specific for this purpose. Any help or ideas, as always, is appreciated.
Thanks, Rich

I suggest a good safe or a safety deposit box .
whatever plan you come up with make sure its a low humidity and stable temperature area .

Quote: I suggest a good safe or a safety deposit box .........I'd vote for the safety deposit box.....this accomplishes everything important with "storage" that you need to be concerned with.......fire, flood, theft, humidity. The only draw back is, of course, convenience. But the peace of mind and security is more than worth a little inconvenience IMHO. P.S. Those little blue boxes that they come in ?........yeah.....that's it for "storage". There is nothing else. If you wish to throw that box away and put them in an album or some other display item.....then there are options......but I think they look pretty good in the blue velvet boxes that they come in. If you have a "pile" of little blue boxes......well.......then you just have a pile of little blue boxes..........

Plastic PVC free storage containers would work too, if ya decide to store them at home/long term.;.......but temperature and humidity can still be a problem.......even with a "safe". The best most "pure" environment would really just be over at my house....... send them all to me and I'll keep em' for ya !

Take the coins out of the boxes, put in bank.
Keep boxes stored carefully elsewhere. [takes up a lot less room.]

Many years ago I did just that. Eventually I threw out all those little boxes. Takes up way to much room and only good if your going to sell the coins. Other than that, not much good. If you just like the coins, just put in those plastic sheets for 2x2's and place in a 3 ringed binder. Most come in a plastic encasement and again, unless your plans are selling them, their your coins, enjoy them.
