I was wanting to sell wheat cents by the roll and was wondering what I should sell them for. I have a roll of Wheat penny's from the pawn shop who said they do have some key dates in them as well.

You might be able to get $2-3 for them, though I have heard of some up to $5

Depends on where you want to sell them. I have seen them on ebay averaging between $4 - $6 per roll plus S&H at an additional $3.00+.

$3/roll seems to be the going rate. I've been able to find them as low as $2/roll but sometimes they run up to $4.

If you sell several rolls at a time, $15 for 4 rolls delivered is fair.

These prices are for 40s & 50s wheats. Teens and 20s dates can bring significant premiums.

Bulk wheats generally sell for 5-7 cents each in my area. You'd probably be best off sorting them by years, i.e. teens, 20's, 30's, etc. Each date range of rolls can command a different premium. As far as containing "key dates", it would be nothing short of a miracle! LOL I believe 99% of the worlds wheats have already been sorted through at some point in their lives. Believe the pawn shop guy when you actually find one and no sooner.

$3 per roll seems to be about the average sell price.

Do you know that there are better dates?
Or just taking their word for it?
