Hi all

What kind of coin is this? Any value?

Found in my recently passed father's box of old coins.

Thanks

I'm no expert but it looks like an 1881 half Crown

It's a gaming token, not a coin. There are many types and are fairly common.

It appears to be an imitation spade guinea (or half guinea depending on size) issued by George Yorke Iliffe & Frederick Gardner of Suffolk Street in Birmingham, UK. The date is 1701 and that is completely fictitious.

The legend on the reverse of your specimen looks a bit jumbled up as if it is a double strike. This is what one normally looks like.
