hello everyone, first time posting, new member, seeking some help with a 1999 5cent coin I discovered in the wilderness... Not too sure what to make of it, was thinking it could be some kind of error. Any members who can explain or give me an idea what kind or error it is, is it a mint error? or not a mint error? Anything? Any input would be so greatly appreciated, thank you

Struck through something?.
My guess is that a blob grease or oil found it's way onto the planchet, just before it was struck.

Without seeing the coin in hand I tend to agree with John1 ... lack of clarity over the entire face, and on both sides, is my reasoning ... but happy to be corrected.

thankyou for all your help so far I personally thought it was grease getting onto planchet before striking, the coin itself looks pretty normal from a glance only until you take a close inspection you start to see its not right at all
