2019 W Sam Quarter Circle Die Mark On Lip

Tldemars333 Valued Member United States 67 Posts	Posted 03/13/2020 11:10 pm Hi y'all! I've posted here before in the past but have recently gotten anacs opinion. It didn't help much but hopefully they can figure something out soon with it. Anacs labeled it as "circle die mark on lip" and added in the notes that "the exact cause of this is unknown and is subject of investigation"! I'm mainly just sharing my findings so that you all can keep an eye out for more!! I found 4- 2019 W SAM quarters with a circle on the lip in the same spot on every coin. I know someone that has 3 others but haven't heard of anyone with any more yet. I found these in September or October. Anyways, now that I have the experts opinion,what do u think? Nobody has established the cause or causes of die rings. They show some diversity in thickness, diameter, completeness, and location. Error coin writer and researcher. Report this Post to the Staff
