This one looks like 014 but is in the wrong location. Any thoughts?
Thanks
Mike

I would have to say yes to the -014 RPM. I don't see any MD on the coin.

Nice find!

You are correct it is in a different location making it NOT from that die. The spread is West on the out side edge of the upright, but the inside edge of the curve is not affected. When you compare it to 014 you will see the difference. (Check the second image on the site.)

I'm not sure that it is a RPM, but hang onto it for now till others chime in. I've seen some like yours a few years back and I don't remember if they were listed or not now. But contact Bob at coppercoins and see what he thinks.

Thanks for the input. There is something on the inside of the curve but it is not very distinct. The lighting on my QX5 makes it hard to capture an image. I would like to send this one in to have it looked at. Wish me luck I have never done this before.

Thanks again

Mike

It's too hard to tell from images on that one. I would be 60% NOT, 40% FOR in this situation. After seeing it up close I could be 100% one way or the other.

It's not that the images are not good, it's one of those things that has to be seen in full 3D to tell.

I am a little toward 70% negative , 20% maybe and 10% I don't know.

I agree with Chuck, these are better analyzed when you can see the coin.

I might expect to see a little more of something on the inside loop of the D. I am not seeing that.

I'm just not sure based upon the picture alone.

How about 95 % for an isolated Machine Doubling and 5 % for the other possibility. My major concern for this not being a RPM is the absence of any secondary mint mark inside the predominant mint mark. And then there is also no notching.
