The DVB I do not know what this error is called ? On the obverse the E has lines running beneath it and the O has a error also .

@eu, that linear mark on the E could be strike through or a gouge, but I think we are going to need a clearer close-up pic of that area to tell for sure. The fact that it lines up with a mark on the shield leads me to the tentative conclusion that it is just damage.

The VDB is incuse. So when Machine Doubling happens, just like the ATB Quarter incuse devices, it enlarges the VDB:
