1984 Memorial Penny Obverse Error

Hi everyone I am new to coin collecting. I was coin roll hunting and came across this 1984 penny with a error on the obverse. "In God we trust" the "in" part seems to not have been punched. I was wondering if anyone has seen this error before and if this variety is rare if so what should I do with it ? Thank you for your input and opinions.

That is called Ridge Ring. It is part of the die devouring process:
