My searching has been as cold as a polar bear's toenails.
My eyes and brain are about shot, so is this simple Machine Doubling?

It did have a pretty sweet die crack, though...

It sure looks like one to meMy list shows a DDO in the letters "in god we trust".(worth up to $35) Is the date also doubled? Good find. See it does pay off. Now you might have to see a eye doctor after looking at all that doublingCheck out this site when your eyes focus. http://www.lincolncentresource.com/...982ddr1.html

BJ,

Can you explain your answer a bit. Of course, I am very much the novice of telling Machine Doubling from the real deal. When I look at the third picture, it doesn't look "shelf like" and flat to me. I thought this was one of the main things to look for with Machine Doubling.

I apologize for asking you to elaborate, and I am certainly not expecting a novel. Just curious is all to help me get things right.

F1 & F2 look like die wear. The edges of the devices are wearing and what I call snow-drifting over the devices so that the field and the devices flow together. The light you see is off the snow-drifting area.

Thanks for all of your answers. If there's one thing I've learned, it's not to trust the 1982 and 1983 cents. Especially 1983. By the way, on the DC pic, is that a crack or a break?
