Not a DDO,it is a lighting issue. You need to have only one light and put a filter on it.

Agree, lighting angles make if difficult to evaluate this.

Note the date/mintmark area? You see the MD in the same direction, on that area. Why is that important? Because the die is created first and in a separate step, the mintmark is added. So when you see the date and the mintmark affected in the same directions, it is a Machine Doubling issue after the strike.
