So I can't find anything about a 1936 w walking liberty anywhere ?

They did not strike 1936 half dollars with a "W" mintmark. The "W" you are seeing is a collage of the designers initials AAW.

1936 half dollars were struck at Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco. The mint mark will be on the reverse (eagle) side of the coin at about the 8 o'clock position. D for Denver, S for San Francisco. If there is no mint mark then the coin was struck at Philadelphia.
