Weird-1976-D-Mint-Mark.
What is wrong with that D mint mark and is it worth anything?

Hmm when I crop, enlarge, and enhance you pic, the mintmark still looks pretty normal. What are you seeing with the coin in hand?

Ok yes, you gotta have a little patience please @sh. Thank you for the much improved close up. I see at least three hits to the mintmark: one along the vertical on portion which lines up nicely with damage on the number 9 and then two dings, one on the upper right of the letter and one on the lower right (near the center of the crosshairs). I don't see any evidence of an RPM or any sort of mint error. Over the course of the next few hours, others should also be weighing in so you may get some additional opinions if you check back.

Just coin contact if you don't see the same thing on the date. If you see it on the date as well, then it is Machine Doubling. Not a RPM. RPMs are not incuse.

I think only face value for this one--a spender.

Coppercoins.com is an excellent page for pretty much anything. If you think you might have a D over D or a DDO etc it will show you all the markers to look for. If you have all the markers it shows even if it's hard to tell online for one of the Gurus here who know just about all there is to know and have taught me alot already. The markers willake it an easy decision.
