Looks to be shadowed to the west.looks like a 4 between the 8 & 4 of date.

@tj, I agree that better pics would help, but the surface staining does look vaguely shaped like a smaller number 4.

PSD. Might be zinc rot or Environmental Damage. Better sharper pictures would help.
