I put in an order to the US Mint on Feb 29th. Realized I needed to change my address. Called the Mint. They couldn't change the address but could cancel the order.

Okay cancel the order and I'll just put it in again with the correct address. What about the balance on my e-gift certificate I asked. They said I would get a new e-gift certificate code in 3-5 business days.

Well that didn't happen. I've called or chatted 7-8 times now over 3 weeks. Been told everything from you'll get a new code, the balance will go back to the old code, or someone will contact you to resolve the issue.

Anyone have any experience with this or suggestions?

If this hasn't been resolved within 30-days of your initial complaint....

Call your Congressman's office and ask for some help.

As with any other business, I'd ask to speak to a manager or supervisor. Calling the Congressman feels like it would be a waste of time.

I'm sure it doesn't help I talk to a different person each time and have to explain the whole situation over again.

I asked to speak to a supervisor last time and was told no one was available.

I was living in Utah and had trouble with an order from the mint once. My Senator was Jake Garn. Had been "fighting" with the mint for weeks regarding a missing order. Called his local office one morning and just like magic got a call from the mint with an apology and a resolution the next day.

I don't know if he was running for re-election at the time but his office helped me.

Right now your congressman may be busy with other things what with the pandemic and all. You can try calling, but if you can't get through try talking to someone at the mint if there's anybody there and just tell them you contacted your representative. Maybe a little bluff might help

No one from the Mint called me Friday as I was promised.

Called the Mint again today.

Explained the whole situation to a new person.

Again a supervisor was unavailable to talk to me.

Someone is supposed to call me today or tomorrow.

Curious if this was ever resolved. I am currently dealing with the exact same issue.

RPT,

I know this issue is well over a year old, but did you ever get a resolution from the mint, or it's contractor, regarding this e-gift certificate problem?

Thx!
