Looks like a 1 in front of the 2000 date. If so, might me a coin from the future and then could possibly be Gold.
Other wise just a new coin.

Possibly toning, possibly planchet error, possibly material error anyhow , I'd put that in a sleeve and hold on to it, as well as get a professional opinion fro a local coin store

It's high AU, and has experienced some oxidization which will slightly change the natural color. That being said, it gains no value over face, but you can keep it if you like it.

@thatcoindude, not a planchet error or "material error". Please visit error-ref.com to study legitimate errors.

It's a 20 year old Lincoln Cent showing light to moderate wear. I've seen many, many cents from the 90s through the 2000s with that light copper/dull gold-like tone. Not uncommon.
