Looks like a small strikethrough on rev above FG but could be PMD. If it is an error what does the object look like to you?

I agree--at least from these pics, it looks like a gouge where metal has been removed from one area and deposited next to it.

The area is incuse and bisected by what looks like a wire (orange line) which looks slightly raised. Here is a comparison outline of what I am seeing as the shape.

I just located this other 1963 D I have with a similar incuse shape. Strange coincidence or "seeing things"?
