Found this while coin roll hunting. I was looking for the extra tree variety but instead found what I thought was a scratch at first. Only the 0's appear to be on TOP of the 'damage' not underneath. Could it be grease related? Thoughts? Thanks!

My guess is that these are incuse devices on the design. A contact mark on an incuse struck area can reach the bottom of the struck area:

Coop, I agree! For some reason I was thinking the lettering was raised, but your explanation makes perfect sense. Excellent visuals. I plan to watch your YouTube videos when I have more time to learn more. Thanks!

They are broke into five sections. About 20 minutes each. I edited the images, made the video and even edited the elevator music, from mixcraft6. (you probably never knew I was a musician and also a Karaoke singer)
