I'm due for a new phone,

having said that, after trying many different iPhones, and Galaxy 6s-8s, the best phone camera I've found so far is my old iPhone 4s. It worked great on both coppers & highly reflective coins - without changing lighting or default settings. VERY little post processing required and did not pixelate when zooming in.

Just wondering if anyone has tried the new Galaxy s20? (the commercials look too good to be true)

my wife finally got the S20,

this shot is handheld, with no support, simple ambient kitchen lighting.

considering it's only 127KB it's not too bad. with proper lighting, stand and remote shutter I think this would be very effective

From what I see with the hand held S20 picture,
it is at least equally as good as a digital microscope shot.
