The past month I've purchased around 22 (10 more ready to be purchased) 5 cent silvers from ebay or auctions. I figured I could give out updates to those interested. I apologize for poor picture quality, working on getting a scope. Ill list dates, any varieties and condition (graded by me, so not very credible- other opinions welcomed) All prices are in USD.
Today I got some goodies in the mail:

1871 5 cent in VF - 25$
1892 5 cent in VG - 6$

Very nice. I like the "fish" scales.

Nice start. I like the original "crust" on the 1871.

Thanks! It's the condition I look to buy in the most, it certainly has the best eye-appeal out of most of the collection so far. Its always the silver 5 cents that have really dark toning on them.

The 1883 is the darkest I've got so far, camera angle doesn't do it justice

I love the pre-1920 Canadian 5c. They're such delicate little things.... very nicely done!

@river, I really like the 5 cents coins. These are really nice. I may eventually get into a set like this, just not now.

Starting with nickel 5 cents may actually be easier whenever you come around to it... Just now thinking about it, besides the 1926 far 6 and in some grades 1925 I could've finished 1920-1980 at half the cost of silver 5 cents. Oh well, I'm already in 30 coins deep.

1896 is much darker than this, but I liked the color is still has (albeit faintly) around the rims.
