My Error Collection So Far - Coin Community Forum

SteveInTampa Pillar of the Community United States 4637 Posts	Posted 03/31/2020 05:06 am Nice assortment. I see 3 gutter folds, one with minor misalignment. A butterfly fold, 2 misalignment notes and a deuce that may or may not have been trimmed. I do not consider the $2 to be a legitimate error. The coolest example is definitely the $10. The condition makes some difference in value but not as much as other error notes. Gutter folds are the 2nd most popular error, just behind ink smears. Gutter folds are perceived as being more valuable when they appear through the center portrait, like the $5 note. I own only one gutter fold note and it also has seen plenty of circulation.
