I quite liked the look of this piece when I saw her on Heritage about a month ago, so I put in a low-ball bid to track her and forgot all about it until I got the notice earlier this week that I'd won the auction.
Housed in an old anacs holder, what do you guys think?

That is one great looking coin you have their. The strike looks great the toning look pretty good I would say it is a ms65* or a ms66 at the least

Not quite gem due to stray marks...but a gorgeous high mint state coin with natural toning just the same..enjoy your auction prize!

Very nice, original coin, Hadley! I won't go quite as high on the grade, but it does look solidly mint state. I see a few scattered ticks on Liberty and what looks like an old fine scratch in the left obverse field. If that scratch is on the coin, I'd call this MS-62. If it is on the holder, the coin could go MS-63.

Congrats on that successful bid. Maybe it's time to start bidding on Heritage again. Perhaps with the current financial turmoil some nice coins are starting to sell for reasonable prices!

Well done! That light scratch cost this lady dearly that particular day she was graded at anacs. Sure looks better than the grade they gave her.
