I have been comparing this 1930 5C to the DDR's listed on the PCGS coin guide site and I am at a loss to determine which one it is.

I would not recommend using PCGS to identify your varieties. They offer no closeups and no descriptions of the doubling and are sometimes wrong in their attributions.

I would recommend sites like Wexler's doubleddie.com and Dr. Wiles' varietyvista.com .

Here's Wiles page for the 1930 5c DDRs: http://varietyvista.com/03%20Buffal...R%201930.htm

I don't see any doubling in your pics but you don't have any closeups to see the doubling of the more minor doubled dies.

The DDR year variety differences only occurred on the 1913 nickles.
As for die varietys that is a different story.

Spotted a nice image on PCGS.

Thank you so much to tanman and coop. Good to know about the PCGS site as I have often wondered about some of the pictures. Also the Variety Vista site is excellent. Thanks for taking the time to help!
