You too can have dual citizenship

so if you are a Knight looking for a country to save or just want diplomatic something or other.

Yes you can belong to the
Hutt River Provience..

As you read this document, read the cost for diplomatic appointments and for military appointments.

CITIZENSHIP, DIPLOMATIC APPOINTMENTS
AND MILITARY COMMISSIONS

Disclosure of fees, procedural notes, etc.

1) Citizenship As outlined in the descriptive materials, all sincere applicants of good character who share the high principles and aspirations of Hutt River Province and its Sovereign are wel¬come. A regional diplomatic representative should be contacted if additional details are needed and to initiate applications.
NOTE Hutt River Province recognizes dual citizenship and requires no renunciation of alle -,giance or other change in applicant's current status. Recent changes in United States law have repealed all barriers to dual citizenship and the U.S. State Department now makes the presump -lion that U.S.citizenship is to be retained in such cases unless formally renounced. HRP estab -lished a separate category of "Overseas Citizen" on the British model, to facilitate the issuance of passports ai~ to accommodate the nuances of certain countries' laws, but all citizens have equal rights, including the right to petition the Sovereign and of entry to the Province, subject to law. Currently, the infrastructure and other legal constraints do not permit permanent settle -ment.

2) Passports All citizens automatically receive a passport, renewable once after 5 years for another 5 years.

3) Trade Contrary to the so-called "pirate" website, no endorsements, product licensing, or similar arrangements are available. All development projects and any authorized promotional materials for sale are strictly regulated and all copyrights are rigorously enforced by the govern¬ment. HRH and the cabinet are open to consider bonafide major development proposals sub¬mitted through formal channels. Oil and natural gas exploration proposals are currently solicit¬ed (as of date of this document). Offshore banking is also under review. "Trade Attaches" may be appointed as subordinates of major diplomatic offices but there are no independent appointments as "Trade Commissioner" or representative and no authority is delegated to con¬duct any negotiations whatsoever on behalf of or in the name of Hutt River Province, or the Sovereign. HRH values his good name and reputation and that of the State and endeavors to maintain the highest standards. This is why any claims, such as may appear on the Internet, must be confirmed with a diplomatic representative.

4). Diplomatic Representatives are needed who will serve as advocates for the Principality and its causes throughout the world. Appointments can be made to qualified individuals based on review of a comprehensive CV. (Degree of involvement is variable and optional; recruitment and public relations are encouraged, within guidelines; diplomatic offices are self-sustaining.) Diplomats agree to follow procedures defined in HRP law, in conducting their public office. Due to the sensitivity of diplomatic appointments and military commissions, applicants are sub¬ject to security screening and filing of an application constitutes implied consent to screening.

5) Military Commissions in the HRP Defense Forces are available to qualified citizens who can demonstrate prior honorable military service or equivalent experience. Normally, citizens are recommended by or sponsored for appointments by other officers or citizens. Additional expenses may be incurred for uniforms and decorations.

6) Orders Of Chivalrv HRH Prince Leonard honors citizens and others for their contributions by bestowing various orders and degrees of chivalry as well as military decorations. These nor¬mally follow a period of service or recognize a particular achievement and may be awarded at the sole discretion of HRH or upon nomination. (See Order of Precedence). Costs may be incurred for optional regalia.

FEES Quoted in Australian dollars, subject to change without notice, based on currency exchange rates. Convert using rate in effect on day instrument is drawn.
Note: diplomatic and consular officers have no authority to modify fees. Consular or other officer processing application will advise remittance procedure.
ciiizenship

Chancellery fees include:
Option I Citizenship without passport
--includes certtificate of naturalisation $100.00
Surcharge for Banking fees $ 10.00

Option 2 Citizenship with passport--
Processing, background check, etc.
--includes naturalisation cert~ica1e
Passport fee $200.00
Surcharge for Banking fees $ 10.00
Consular fee,
Postage & handling $50.00

Diplomatic Appointments Made only to qualified people, who are subject to security screen -ing. A special diplomatic passport is issued; this has reportedly facilitated customs clearance in those countries that honor HRP passports. In addition, an Exequatur certificate, signed and sealed by Prince Leonard and Crown Prince Ian is issued to the appointee. If an applicant resides in a place which already has a ranking diplomat, an subordinate appointment may be offered or an appointment may be possible to a suburb of the city having a separate post office- designated name. Current regulations define the positions available in each country. Processing officers cannot guarantee appointments to a particular position without review by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Fees may vary with position sought.

Normal cost $550.

plus postage & handling,as above

Military Commissions Fee/or military commission in one of the three branches includes:

Original certtificate of commission, signed and sealed by
HRH and / or ranking military commander of branch

Military Officer ~ Handbook

First year subscription to exclusive HRP Defence Force News

Total: $250.00, postpaid
Note: cost of optional uniforms and decorations
is borne by the officer. Fees for military commission are in addition to naturalization costs.

Non-Official document prepared for local office use

George Cruikshank, AKA Emperor George II of Atlantium, has had articles written on himself and his coins (he's even written a few himself) in the Australasian Coin and Banknote (CAB) magazine, the only monthly coin mag here in Oz (july 2002 p46, for example). He's apparently a keen coin collector, and not just of the coins he makes himself. Some time ago I wrote an article in the Queensland Numismatic Society magazine on these and similar coin-issuing "micronations". There are some links there to several other micronational coinage, if anyone's interested.

This is interetsing Richard.

There is a country in the Atlantic Ocean (from memory) called Sealand is situated on an old oil well(from memory). It's existance is primarily as a computer warehouse where data can be stored. It is secure as it is outside the juristiction of any land based country.

I found another link for anyone interested in collecting "coins" from these sorts of places: the Unrecognised States Numismatic Society has a listing of numerous coin issuers on it's site.

That's an interesting site....Rebel governments....Confederate States of America.
I never even considered the confederacy as a different country, But they had their own government for years. Somehow in American History it seems they never really made the break. The southern states never left the United States. We don't see Re-joined dates on the coins.
