This coin is selling on ebay Auction around 1450.00 to 1650.00+ I know about the Rareity of the coin. I've done a lot of research on this coin but its hard to predict what the value of this coin will do. I know nobody has a crystal ball but I'd like to get some thoughts on this coin......

Low mintage numbers don't always translate into an extreme cost over issue price. The ASE's have a distinct advantage over most other coins. Popularity. This combination is the reason those prices you've mentioned are realized in the marketplace. I would think that those figures should drop slightly to near $1200-1400 and level off in the coming years before rising again. Or so I'm basing this reasoning on the 1995w Proof (2nd lowest with 30,125) which saw similar values.

My only concern with the ASE is the upcoming redesign. How popular will this be? More importantly, will it stretch beyond the first few years of issue? If it does not, then I would suspect that prices for the current series should react accordingly. Once again, these prices are related to popularity.

I agree with Ballyhoo. I think this particular issue is going to hold its value.

What's the nature of your question? Are you planning on buying one? Have one and want to know whether to sell now or hold on to it?
