@tkt, yikes that has a pretty heavy layer of oxidation. I can make out a plum blossom and a few scattered Chinese characters and so should be able to at least get you a date on this piece. In the meanwhile, can you please post the diameter and weight of this piece? Thx.
Ah never mind, I think I have a hit--looks like a 1960-dated New Dollar from Taiwan. It should be 5-6 g in weight and 25 mm in diameter. Here is a link to the numista page:
