I don't think it takes much for the imagination to depict a horse standing (Horses head) over Abe's right shoulder on the reverse, but as usual I am probably seeing ghosts. Trickery of the mind....

Kind of trying to figure out what you are saying, unless I'm not fully awake yet

Yes, posting a photo or two would be an excellent idea.

Yes Pareidolia I think. Here is a close-up of that region, but I'm still not seeing anything other than circulation damage and surface staining.

Skippy, if ALL those cents had the same feature I could see that maybe the mint actually designed the 'ghost' horse, but I checked all my copies and none are like that. So....., If you have any extra of those meds you are taking, could you send some my way? Thanks!!

Back in the day when Sunday School teachers used flannel gragh to teach children lessons. One boy was asked what image the teacher had just put up on the flannel. The boy thought for a moment to himself, and said, It looks like a squirrel but it must be Jesus. I agree with staining. Oxidation is definitely in play. You could put the coin on ebay with a title _ Jesus behind Lincoln.

I see it too, weird. I think it is nothing more than imperfections on the surface of the coin.
This reminds me of the "face" on Mars from a few years ago.....

Thank you. I know it wasn't the meds and I do see a head of a horse. Or at least what appears to be. Pretty good water stain....

Probably not, but why would I want to imagine a horse's head there?

I see the Horse Head the 2nd look. It might be eye glass cleaning for some member's goldnugget or I got some Good Meds. About 3 months ago my left eye reversed where the fluid sack that is suppose to be in the back came to the Front Beware this can happen with a small bump to the head.
