I just picked up my first proof set, a 1974 proof set for only $7.50. I had been thinking for awhile of starting to collect these ever since I picked up a 1957 proof wheatie and nickel cheap. I picked 1974 becaues it is my birth year.

Very nice!

I broke apart all of my proof sets years ago so I could fill the proof holes in my Dansco albums. Two years ago, my aunt-in-law gave me a 1969 proof set (my birth year) and I had forgotten how cool they can be just to look at.

I've been getting proof sets for my daughter ever since she was born. When she became 21, I gave them to her and she has continued!!
