Organizing Civil War Tokens - Coin Community Forum

Wizardnyc Valued Member United States 253 Posts	Posted 04/08/2020 10:56 am Been bored self-isolating, so I figured out how I'm going to organize and identify my civil war token collection just started. I think I'll organize by theme and Fuld number. Any thoughts would be appreciated. These out of print Whitman folders only have 120 holes and no identifications. I fitted dividers and relined chests to suit my needs. My NY CWT store card collection has resided in a remodeled walnut silverware chest for a good many years. The top, lift-out tray contains a token from each of the 25 NY State towns. Below that is contained a variety of other NY CWT's, along with NY merchant scrip-mates that pair with assorted tokens. Many NY merchants who then issued tokens also issued scrip or paper money. Experience has shown me that wooden containers help preserve tokens and coins. I enjoy the freedom to group tokens as I see fit. They can then easily be lifted out, shared and studied.
