This coin was born with Severe Acute Missing or Weak Devices Syndrome (joking!) and as if this was not enough, looks like it suffered other serious damages! I guess it got into a fire, or can it be corrosion?

Thank you, Errers and Varietys! I know it's a struck through, but I thought that the bumps might be from dirt, under the plating.

This is due to either zinc dust under the plating or small plating bubbles.

It can't be 1981. Copper plating zinc core didn't start till 1982 midyear

Excellent point, Jasper62!Thank you, it's always nice to have someone around who is thinking!
The coin weighs 2.57 grams, so it would have been a fantastic find from '81! I completely missed this minor detail when I tried to figure out the date from those faint shadows!
Thank you for drawing my attention to it! I don't know if I can correct the name of the listing but if not then I put a note in the description!

OK! It's been corrected!

Thank you, Coinfrog, I'm leaning toward gas bubbles from the heat, but maybe there had been some dust as well before that. I'm just curious, you know, too much free time on hand!

Not a one. It would be a copper cent if it were a 81.

Thank you, coop, but sorry, this time you are only the runner-up, because Jasper62 has already pointed this out, as you can read above!
