Hi EVERYONE #128075; . I Love you all and hope all are staying well .I wanted to share a recent find . I roll hunt when bored and the Lord knows ALOT of people have free time on their hands this past month . Now that Alot of stores are not open I went to an Ace hardware store and purchased a few rolls to pennies from them . 2 of the rolls were the usual but 1 roll was Red and said ,The CEO. D.Barnard Co.St,Louis,No.. I don't know much about roll colors but inside the red roll were Beautiful 1982 Pennies and a couple 1970 s pennies and Wheaties . 15 of the 1982 pennies weights 3.1 Grams and the others were 2.5. I just thought it was an odd and neat find and thought I'd share what was inside .

Looks like a collector roll dump . Using it to purchase something at the store or brought to a bank where the store owner picked it up for his business .
I would have tried to go back to Aces and ask them if they had anymore rolls that had the same wrappers .

I am not sure but looks like at the bottom pictures there was a 1982 D small date that weighed 3.1 ... isn't it the rare one?

Seems like it'd be the small date D + since the scale is 3.1..

That looks like the paper rollers that banks give out to those who roll their own; I had hundreds of those when I had a tipped job as a teen. The ones the banks gave out to businesses were different, open ended and several layers of wrap around and glued shut, but much more durable. The reason I mention it is that the banks give them out with their logo but don't actually roll into them, at least in my experience.

I agree with the above comment regarding the last cent on the scale...looks like a 82D SD to me (as well) at 3.1gs...

Can we see more pixs (obverse and reverse) of that coin?

I will send more pictures as soon as I can in that role there was 50 pennies 32 of them or 1982 half of them were 3.1 and the other half were 2.7 I think yeah and then our 2.5 but anyway my wife is being a b-word right now so I must get off the website I'm not allowed to look at my coins because it drives her crazy whenever I do because it takes hours of my time up so I'll post pictures as soon as I can.

Nice find. Your wife knows you collect coins? I stopped telling mine. I hope when I die she doesn't spend them at face.
