I found a BU roll of 1973 cents and about 1/5 of them have similar errors on the reverse. I was not able to find anything about the error online, though. I have a couple of MS6? quality no goofs as well that I will show later.

I suspect this is just grease in the dies. With so many in one roll, its probably not much of a find?

The E is there, but its extremely faint, and the top of the building and bottom of the states are also blurred.

Looks like grease build up on the dies.

Not surprising to hear about several coins in the same roll showing the same issue. Some collectors seek out greasers, but usually only the coins showing extreme disfiguration.

Finding a MS-6? coin can cover a huge range. Best to show them under "US Modern Coin Grading." In that section they'll give you excellent, honest, fair opinions as to grades. Try it, they're amazing! Good luck!

Thanks! I will cherry pick the best of them down to one or two before asking for community grading.
